Associated organism: under living Betula
Identification Notes: Cap: hard, dark blackish-grey, more evenly coloured than usual in this species.
Spores: 9-13(15)/4.5µm, very small but very variable in size (they came from a youg cap).
Cap cuticle: cells frequently disarticulating.
