Notes (MWS) Probably the tallest species of Entoloma, in many ways it is actually a giant Leptonia. It has a purplish-brown fibrillose cap and stipe. Widespread and fairly common in unimproved semi-natural grassland and open woodland. Noordeloos, M.E., 2004
