Notes:

Hypophyllous perithecia embedded in thin black stroma which is visible from both leaf surfaces. Ostioles just visible on lower surface.

Ascospores: hyaline to very pale grey, ellipsoid, smooth, non-amyloid, 14-15/8-9µm.

Ascus tips not blued in Melzer’s iodine.
