Notes:

Cleistothecia hypophyllous, sparse, scattered but often more numerous beside veins.

Infected leaf not noticeably reddish.

Cleistothecia with cylindrical supporting hyphae with multiply-branched ends and containing several asci with c. 5 ascospores.
