Notes:

Thickened blackish-purple leaf-spots, with a sunken whitish centre but no opening. Under the microscope there is a bright red pigment in the leaf cells. There appears to be no fungal infection present.

The die-back from the leaf-tips is limited by a similar blackish-purple line which fuses with the spots where they meet. Cladosporium cladosporioides is a secondary invader on the underside of the die-back.
