Notes:

Unusually flat growth form.

Hypothallus evident, shellac-like, pale golden-brownish.

Peridium two layered: outer layer is non-crystalline calcareous granules, inner layer shiny, like shellac.

Spores: cocoa brown, 10-13µm diam, spherical to ellipsoid or otherwise mis-shapen, smooth or nearly so.

Capillitium: tubular, hyaline.

Columella absent, just a small non-calcified aggregation of hypothallus in the base of isolated sporangium.

Sporangia very thin: about 0.07-0.2mm thick, anastomosing.
