Notes:

Cells: 60/12.5-72/10 (-18/12.5 in richly branched sections)

Branching dichotomous, rarely trichotomous, tips long drawn out and hyaline. Chloroplast parietal, grass-green.

In areas with elongated cells, the chloroplast is much shorter so filament appears striped.

Cells in some areas much shorter and with rich branching and associated spherical (reproductive?) swellings.

No mucilage.
