Notes: tightly and irregularly coiled and twisted, several coils together forming anastomosing strands. Cells: 4µ wide. Akinete: 7/5µm, cylindric, pale blue. Heterocyst: 4-6/4-5µm, hemispherical or bullet shaped. Ends of filaments often straight. Heterocysts often terminal.
