Notes:

Perithecia under bark in groups of 2 to 4, with necks growing together into a bark pimple. Perithecia containing black jelly.

Asci: 8-spored, apical apparatus unstained in Melzer’s Iodine.

Ascospores: arcuate cylindric, very pale grey, 16-20/3µm.
