||old orange-stained fruitbodies on charred, fallen pine branch
||on charred, fallen branch of Pinus
||The branch had been turned over some time previously, so the fruitbodies had all dried and turned orange. There were fresh white brackets on nearby fallen pine branches which bruised orange.
It was at first thought to be Pycnoporus sanguineus, but parts of the fruitbody were white which is never the case in that species.
