Notes:

Leaf spots: pale grey, with mainly epiphyllous pycnidia, often bounded by veins, with dark brown border, usually marginal and often extending along the margin as a brown dead papery zone which also has pycnidia.

Pycnidia: black, 0.1mm diam., immersed, ostiole pale, protruding; densely and evenly scattered over the pale area of leaf-spots, mainly epiphyllous, on marginal zone they are amphigenous and less dense.

On live or moribund leaves.

Pycnidiospores: hyaline, acicular, 25-32/1-3µm, 1-3 septate.
