Notes:

Fruitbodies in lines, following one or two cracks in the Bracken rachis; growing from small sclerotia, embedded in the bracken tissue. Sclerotia often visible only as a clearly-demarcated discolouration or change of texture.

Spores: 10-12/4-4.5µm., amyloid.
