Notes:

Cap slightly sticky, soon becoming merely humid.

Stipe clavate, but not bulbous, except where compressed (eg TS photo).

No sign of blue colouration but probably too old anyway.

Taste mild. Smell: very weak, if any. Flesh not turning yellow with KOH.

Spore print: dark "fulvous".

Basidia: 4-spored.

Spores: 8-10/5-6.5µm., roughened apically.

Specimens too old to identify as gills already coloured brown from ripening spores.
