Notes:

Numerous leaf spots up to 8mm diameter, confluent and covering most of the older leaves and lower half of many younger leaves.

Spots very variable. Upper surface: charcoal grey, sometimes in concentric rings; buff in centre of older spots which sometimes drops out; some spots with white or pale yellow fibrous encrustation (massed conidia), a few spots pale with black borders. Some spots on leaf upper margin black and sclerotial.

Lower surface similar, more dingey.

Conidiophores: pale sepia walled, sinuate with conidium scars near apex.

Conidia: hyaline, very narrowly obclavate, multi-septate, 65-134/3-5 µm.
