Notes:

Hemispherical pustules with radiating dark brown thick-walled, septate, setae

Reddish juice in KOH.

Squash prep. contains many different structures: clumps of young asci with thick walls towards the apex, masses of spherical hyaline cells, thick-walled brown hyphae breaking into pairs of doliform cells (arthrospores), clusters of ?asci containing hyaline c. 8 minute spherical spores, as well as the matrix of brown-walled hyphae.

Needs reinvestigating after a damp period when ripe spores should be present.
