Conidia: cylindric-ellipsoid, 5-8/1.5-2µm.

Conidiophores and conidia staining strongly in lactophenol cotton blue.

Contaminant spores (Massaria inquinans): dark, thick-walled, fusiform, spores with three septa near the middle: 70-85/18-20.5µm
