Notes:

Caps: dark brown.

Gills: subdistant, ascending, but decurrent with a short tooth, grey, much paler towards gill dge, but edge not distinctly coloured.

Smell: alkali, strong.

Gill edge: with abundant hyaline, clavate to lanceolate cheilocystidia.

Basidia: 4-spored.

Spores: 9/5µm.

Caulocystidia: inflated.
