Notes:

Bright green, mucilaginous, filamentous alga.

Chloroplasts: 4-6 spirals, not obvious until enhance contrast, making 0.25 to 0.5 turns per cell.

Cells 46-1340µm long, 60-67µm diam.

Cell walls: plain.

Starch present, abundant.

Also darker material with scalariform conjugation and lens-shaped zygospores
