BioImages: The Virtual Field-Guide (UK) ICES Identification leaflets for Plankton: http://www.ices.dk/products/fiche/Plankton/INDEX.PDFA set of leaflets for identifying the marine plankton of the north-east Atlantic. The series has been running since 1939 and was made available on the internet in 2004. Many groups are covered, but there are still gaps, and many of the earlier leaflets are now out of date.
