A Coleopterist's handbook

The first half of the book is a family by family account of beetles and their habits, followed by a brief, but similarly aranged, look at the larvae. This is followed by the photographic plates which include 100 photographs of representative species. The second half of the work covers techniques: field craft (including lists of associated plants bot by beetle and by plant), collecting, identification, dissection, curation and rearing of larvae.

Every amateur or professional naturalist with any interest in beetles should have this wonderful compendium of everything coleopterological.
