Diptera 1. Introduction and Key to Families

Introduces the terminology used in the other Diptera volumes of this series. The beginner will appreciate the labelled wing venation diagrams for various families on p 17, 19 and 22.

There follows a dichotomous key to Diptera families. Unfortunately this is now rather dated in that many families have since been split, but still remains one of the best for acalyperates.
