A Monograph of Marasmius, Collybia and related genera in Europe. Part II. Collybia, Gymnopus, Rhodocollyiba, Crinipellis, Chaetocalathus and additions to Marasmiellus

This is the second part of these authors' monograph of European Marasmius and Collybia, covering the "Collybioid" species.

The introduction is followed by a key to the genera of Collybioid and Marasmoid fungi in Europe.

Marasmoid species were covered in the previous volume, and the Collyboid taxa are now handled in the same way. Each genus is surveyed, with a key to species followed by very full species accounts with synonymy and an (often long) list of collections examined. Each species has line drawings of microscopy (eg spores, basidia, cheilocystidia, and pileipellis elements) and a good colour photograph.

Following the treatment of Collyboid taxa, Marasmiellus is revisited (20 pages) to incorporate two spp from Micromphale and several recently described taxa. A revised key is presented followed by species accounts for the additions.

Finally there are 41 pages of insufficiently known and excluded taxa with descriptions and reasons for rejecting them.
