Ranunculus ficaria ssp. ficaria (a lesser celandine)

Notes (MWS) A common plant of woodland and grassland, but also finds its way into gardens. Its bright yellow flowers are a characteristic feature of English spring.
Field indications Leaves entire (not shallowly lobed).
Diagnostic features 1. Absence of tubers in the leaf axils (even after flowering)
2. Smaller petals (10-20mm long).
