Rorippa (yellow-cresses)
| Notes (MWS) | A group of yellow crucifers which can be abundant in damp places. Hybrids are common so care is needed in determinations. |
| Characters to note in the field | Leaf shape distinguishes the species. Fruits failing to ripen indicates a hybrid. |
| Lab. techniques | Specimens found early in the season will only have flowers. To check whether ripe fruits are formed, place a small piece in water on a well lit window sill. They generally grow well and usually even form roots. |
