Lepista saeva (Fr.) P.D. Orton, 1960 (Field Blewits, Blue Leg)
| Notes (MWS) |
Field Blewits is a toadstool which grows in troops in grassland, especially where calcareous. It is typically a species of late autumn and can continue through the winter if the weather isn't too severe. It has a smooth brown to grey cap, paler towards the margin and a lilac stem. The gills too are lilac-coloured and the minutely spiny spores are pink. |
