Record Summary: Uredia on underside of Goat Willow leaves
Associated organism: on underside live leaf of Salix caprea
Identification Notes: Uredia in scattered small groups, bright orange-yellow, hypophyllous. Leaf upper surface with corresponding orange sunken spot.

Uredo-paraphyses: abundant, clavate to spathulate, heads 20-30µm diam. Urdeospores: thick (4µm) walled.

Second collection 17 Oct 2007 to check telia.

Telia: epiphyphyllous, small dark orange patches; teliospores in a hymeniform, subcuticular palisade. Very soft and unable to get a lateral view to confirm wall thicknss.
