Identification Notes: Very fragile toadstools.
Rather pale but was amongst overhanging brushwood.
Cap surface velvety, white with a grey eye (like L. felina) when found but rapidly and strongly bruising orangey-red, then turning black over several minutes.
Green with NH4OH.
Spores: ellipsoid, but pointed at both ends, 6.5-8/4-4.5µm.
Spores not metachromatic except at apiculus.
Basidia: 4-spored.
