Record Summary: on Ash wood in overgrown wood heap
Associated organism: on solid, exposed fallen branch of Fraxinus excelsior
Identification Notes: Apothecia with pale buffy-yellowish hymenium, sometimes tinged pink in parts.
Outside white, downy.
Growing among Dematiaceous hyphomycete, probably Helminthosporium.
Excipulum of radiating septate hairs, blunt, hyaline, short.
Paraphyses narrow, cylindric, overtopping asci.
Asci up to 70µm, clamped at base; pore narrow, blue in Melzer's.
Ascospores 10x2.5µm, fusiform, curved, 1-septate, biseriate.
