Gills: quite tough. Stipe: rooting. Smell: slightly fruity on cutting. Spore print: white, non-amyloid. Spores: spherical, 6-7µm diam (excluding apiculus). Basidia: 4-spored. Pleurocystidia: abundant, fusiform. Cheilocystidia: lageniform. Caulocystidia: vermiform to lageniform with dark contents, clamped at base. Pileicystidia: hyaline, cylindric-capitate, elbowed, clamped, on a radially filamentous cuticle c. 6µm diam. A second log nearby had similar fruitbodies, but with caps splitting and turned up towards margin. |
