Entomology and macrophotography.

Large and beautiful photos of a variety of species, including dissections in some cases.

Many of the photos are standard macrophotography, but the author also uses a novel technique of his own devising, based on a cannibalised flat-bed scanner. The subject is photographed using a time exposure while it slides forwards through a narrow plane of light which shines on it from all sides, but only the minute slice which is temporarily in perfect focus is illuminated.
