A Field Guide in Colour to Molluscs

Another of Blitz's "cheap and cheerful" translations of European works. If only they'd keep them available for longer, even if it means charging a bit more!

The main text consists of species accounts (on the left) facing photographs (on the right) with one, two or three species per spread. The photographs, mostly of groups of shells, are generally good.

An extra section has been appended for the English edition. This contains the following chapters:

Additional species living in the British Isles - a selection of further species illustrated with line drawings.

Key for the identification of European mollusc families - using live specimens.

Key for the identification of British terrestrial species - using fresh shells. This key doesn't go down to species in difficult groups like Succineidae and Vertigo.
