A New Key to Wild Flowers
This work is pitched halfway between an illustrated guide and a formal flora, and is aimed at the beginner who wants to progress beyond "looking at the pictures". But it's also useful to the more experienced botanist for the well-presented summaries of all the information one feels one should remember!
The main part consists of series of well illustrated lateral keys to families and species of flowering plants (including grasses and sedges), ferns, horsetails, clubmosses and common conifers. There are additional keys to trees when not in leaf.
