Dyeing to resurrect an old species?

Describes the reinstatement of "Sarcodon squamosus" as a species, as a result of investigations following differences noticed during the use of "Sarcodon imbricatus" s.l. for dyeing. The two species can be separated by macroscopic characters and host preference, as well as dyeing chemistry.
