Black and white european distribution maps and line drawings of salient features plus colour plates of paintings. |
| Identify |
In the field (also useful to examine in the Hand). |
| Specimen Prep. |
Live specimens or skulls. Measurements of the total length and lengths of foot, tail and ear are useful. |
| Difficulty |
Bats and small mammals can be difficult, even in the hand. With the danger of damage to the animal and infection of the handler, live animals should not be handled without training and the proper protective equipment. |
