BioImages: The Virtual Field-Guide (UK)

Tutin, T.G., 1980

Umbellifers of the British Isles

Introductory chapters cover Classification and Relationships, Habitat Lists and Cook's Guide.

A conventional indented Dichotomous Key to species is followed by a Multi-access Synoptic Key.

The major portion of the book consists of detailed species accounts facing line-drawings of the plant, leaves, flower, fruit (usually in dorsal and lateral views) and fruit TS.

10km distribution maps are presented two to a page, but these are now superceded by the later BSBI Atlas.
