Tricholoma

This Italian work is in four parts: a historical account of the concept of Tricholoma, the modern disposition of the modern segregate genera, descriptions of the Tricholoma ss. species here recognised, and iconography.

Microscopic characters are less useful in Tricholoma and a key to species based only on macroscopic characters is given (English translation: p116). This is followed by the species accounts (in Italian).

The iconography is accompanied by brief descriptions in Italian, English and German. This consists of 70 plates (by Aurel Dermek & Ernesto Rebaudengo), each with several illustrations depicting the 60 spp at various stages and in cross-section.

Most of the text is in Italian, but the key and the brief descriptions accompanying the plates are also given in English translation.
