British Water Plants
Fondly known as "Hook, Line and Sinker", this work provides an accessible guide to our aquatic flora, including emergents.
The identification section starts with a dichotomous Key to Groups, followed by the individual group keys. These are followed by an illustrated glossary, and then a chapter describing each plant's ecology in terms of water flow rate, type of water body, nutrient status, soil substrate, depths at which the plant grows, distribution in Britain and Europe. Finally there are line drawings of most of the plants in the key.
